嘉義公園

Chiayi Park is truly perfect for relaxation! The park is spacious, shady, peaceful, and extremely comfortable for walking around on holidays. There's also the interesting Chiayi Tower where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city from up high. Additionally, there are museums and exhibition areas that reflect the culture of Chiayi city. The atmosphere is super chill - in the mornings and evenings, you'll see people exercising and families taking walks, creating a warm and friendly vibe. This city is charming from every angle! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taiwan!

This is a very big and beautiful park with lots of resting places. Benches are everywhere, sit to have a snack, read a book, rest or chat with friends. I visited once in the afternoon on a Friday, was so charmed by it, visited again the next morning, which was a weekend. The park was vibrant with people taking their morning walks, others doing their exercise or dance in their little groups. It is interesting to immerse myself among the locals, watching how they spend their mornings at the park. Wanted to share those photos but just couldn’t call up those photos on iPhone, only photos from the Friday afternoon is shared here. There is a playground too for the kids and restrooms are also easily accessible, though not in the cleanest state. The morning air is cool and fresh, not noisy despite there were many people going about with their activities. The paths are easy to walk and is wheelchair friendly too for most part of the park. I simply love this park, as it gives my weak aching knees a break from climbing more stairs. Beside it is the Chiayi Botanical Gardens, so do hop over too without having to make a separate trip on another day.

Great park with multiple playgrounds. Signage could be better as the park is very large (ironically had to rely on google maps for the playground locations). Lots of gardens and things to look at. Don’t forget to hire a car plastic sliding mat from the coffee shop for the artificial grass slide!

I used to go here as an infant and child with my parents and relatives and the park has expanded and become more developed all whole keeping its natural feel and it feels like the city is instead building around it rather than into it. The nature is amazing as well as all the sights and it's a really good place to take a walk; nothing too challenging.
